Today I am talking to children in a Junior Primary School (7-11 years olds) about Yoga and Mindfulness. Upon reflection, I decided to share this with you, whether you work in school, are a student of Yoga or a Yoga Teacher, because teaching children has helped me think over Yoga and Mindfulness concepts so that I could put it across to children in simple words. It is really about what makes Yoga such an amazing tool and practice to enrich your life and help you grow.

Why? Because

-Meditation, Breathing and Mindfulness (the quiet practices) help you develop awareness of your thoughts

-Yoga postures help you develop awareness of sensations: physical strength, coordination and awareness of emotions as we learn to tune in to all sensations

-Reflection and Philosophy is the part when we share and process what we learned in the previous practices about our bodies and minds
