Children's Yoga Club – Banstead Community Junior School

Objectives
Children Yoga aims to help children develop a sense of awareness of their body and emotions through exercise, sound, Breathing, balance, games, storytelling and Relaxation. It is a fun practice that offers to all children the opportunity to express themselves through their body in a controlled, precise and fun way.

Who’s it for?
The Children Yoga Club at Banstead Community Junior School is offered to Y3-Y6 year groups as a Before School Club in the Hall in groups of max 12 children.

Prerequisites
No experience required

What To Bring
Children practice barefoot (usually) on Gym Mats with their instructor. The class will follow school guidelines for equipment use.

Clothing
Arrive in your School PE Kit or leggings/tracksuit bottoms and Tshirt. Bring your school bag and uniform ready to go to your classroom after the class

Hall – starts 8am

Autumn Term 2025 Dates: 12 classes on 19th Sept, 26th Sept, 3rd Oct, 10th Oct, 17th Oct, 24th Oct, 7th Nov, 14th Nov, 21st Nov, 28th Nov, 5th Dec, 12th Dec (no class on 1st Nov Half-term)
