June Focus: Growth, Transitions & Opportunities in Children’s Yoga

As we approach the end of the school year, June is a month of impact. It’s when the cumulative benefits of a full year of Children’s Yoga begin to shine—stronger relationships, more emotional awareness, and deeper self-regulation among pupils.

At Yogamoo, June is also a time of strategic growth:

We reach more schools,

Launch more clubs,

Train more teachers—

All to broaden our reach and deepen our impact on children’s wellbeing across the region.

Here’s what we’re focusing on this month in class

1. Schools Are Planning Their Autumn Term Clubs—Now’s the Time to Reach Out

At Yogamoo, June is also a time of strategic growth:

We reach more schools,

Launch more clubs,

Train more teachers—

All to broaden our reach and deepen our impact on children’s wellbeing across the region.

2. Deepening Trust and Self-Care in Summer Term Classes

By this stage in the year, strong relationships and trust have blossomed between teachers and pupils. That’s why our Summer Term theme of Self-Care & Stress Management is so impactful. It builds beautifully on the themes introduced earlier in the year and supports children as they begin to wind down and reflect.

Our sessions focus on helping children understand that our emotions are not us,  that perception is everything, and that they can practice healthy coping tools they can take beyond the classroom.

3. Supporting Key Transitions—Especially for Year 2 and Year 6

Transition is a huge focus right now, especially for Year 2 and Year 6 pupils preparing for the move to a new school environment.

Our lesson plans this term include mindfulness and life skills designed to support this transition. For example, with Year 6, we’re exploring practical strategies for entering secondary school with more confidence—from organisational habits to emotional resilience.

One key takeaway we share with children:

“If you’re not sure what’s expected of you—ask! It’s not weakness, it’s smart. Clarity helps you feel supported while staying independent.”

Wherever you are on your teaching journey—seasoned or in training—this is a beautiful time to make a difference. To find out more about Yogamoo Surrey, do reach out. If you are a local school, we would love to hear from you
