Vision Boards Breath For Goals Manifesting

Such a pleasure to be back in primary schools this week for our week 1 of teaching. I have such a great theme and lesson plan in hand, but do take in new ideas and inspirations for delivery day to day, to keep the material fresh and the children engaged. The school curriculum brings in New Years Resolutions and goals settings at this time of year and many children were ready to share what was on their vision board.

We breathed in and visualised music, art, books and .. caring (for Meerkats and Hamsters) to bring our vision board to life then got on with our warm ups.

In our Yoga story, our main character today wanted to learn a music instrument. Along his quest for a teacher, he met 4 friends who reacted in several ways: the first one could not believe it and mocked him, the second one told him he would not make it, the third one encouraged him but could not help and the fourth one just behaved silly.

Our character then used resilience, determination, and a burning passion for practice, learn and play an instrument for 2 years. In the end, they all come together to support him during an amazing concert that brings the community together.

I compared each character to the little voices in our head that can feel (and act) in turn disenchanted, negative, hopeful, silly or just tired, just like in the animation ‘Inside, Out'. The children could really relate! In the end we reminded ourselves that we can still choose which voice to embrace and that your Yoga and Mindfulness practice can help you do that. I left them with a little practice to try at home everyday and experience inner support and strength.

I know this practice can help many.  I hope you can use the above to bring depth to your material and If you would like to find out more about how you can work with me, develop your Yoga business, or help children in your local schools, please reach out.

Have a great weekend
