I received this unsolicited feedback from Natalie who joined our Course Intake last November. Natalie has been teaching in primary schools for 11 years and had recently qualified as a 200h Yoga teacher too. She contacted me then to ask about our course because she wanted to bring her 2 passions together: Teaching Yoga and Teaching Children!

I am really excited when I see such enthusiasm from our members who are professionals in schools, it comes from a deep inner belief that Yoga and Mindfulness can truly improve little lives around us and with this help educate the next generations with sound values such as inclusivity, non competititivity, awareness and agency or choice.

Here is what Natalie said in her email to me :

‘Hope that January has been kind to you! I've now completed modules 3 and 4. I really love the reflection themes and there's some great discussion points to raise with the children in there!
One that stood out to me was the concept that our brains are trained for survival so we have to actively work to spot the good stuff. This is so simple and so obvious but I've never had it explained in quite this way before so I really resonated with this! I'm really interested in the “positive attitude” section in particular, so I'll definitely look into the further suggested reading at some point. I also hadn't seen WIBIT before, it's not used in local schools in Staffordshire so that's a great phrase to remember. I also LOVE the introduction of the yamas and niyamas from such an early age (at an accessible level of course).
I've attached my sorting summary for module 3. As you know, there isn't an assignment for module 4 but again I found it super interesting. I just think the body is remarkable isn't it! I also have my 200hr YTT certification already which did include anatomy modules so much of the basic physiology is already known to me. I loved the mood meter chart and will definitely consider printing one of these for my sessions! We have something similar in every classroom in our school too.
Modules 3 and 4 aren't showing ticks next to each section for some reason like the previous modules did? It's not a problem as I know where I'm up to but just thought I'd bring it to your attention'.
