Children's Yoga Club – Wood Field Primary School

Objectives
Children Yoga aims to help children develop a sense of awareness of their body and emotions through exercise, sound, breathing, balance, games, storytelling or rhyme based Yoga sequence and Relaxation. It is a fun practice that offers to all children the opportunity to express themselves through their body in a controlled, precise and fun way.

Who’s it for?
The Children Yoga Club at Wood Field Primary School is offered from Y1 toY6 year groups as an After School Club in the small Hall in groups of 12 children.

Prerequisites
No experience required

What To Bring
Children practice barefoot (usually) on the classroom carpet with their instructor. Please could parents kindly pack a light sports towel in their Childs bag along with their Yoga clothes or bring a Yoga mat.

Clothing
Their School PE Kit or leggings/tracksuit bottoms and Tshirt. One snack before class can be consumed if in line with the school policy only.

Location
Sports Hall (autumn term)- Collection point for parents: the double wooden doors in the playground at 4:20pm
Training Room (spring term): Collection point for parents: central white door that leads into the playground

Autumn Term remaining Dates: 19th Nov, 26th Nov, 3rd Dec, 10th Dec

Spring Term Dates: 10 classes on 14th Jan, 21st Jan, 28th Jan, 4th Feb, 11th Feb, 25th Feb, 4th Mar, 11th Mar, 18th Mar, 25th Mar (no class on 18th Feb half-term)

All members to join at the start of the term. Refunds and/or cancellations will only be accepted up to 7 days before the start of the term unless the space can be sold to somebody else.
