Children's Yoga Club – Furzefield Primary Academy – Redhill

Objectives
Children Yoga aims to help children develop a sense of awareness of their body and emotions through exercise, sound, breathing, balance, games, storytelling or rhyme based Yoga sequence and Relaxation. It is a fun practice that offers to all children the opportunity to express themselves through their body in a controlled, precise and fun way.

Who’s it for?
The Children Yoga Club at Furzefield Primary Academy is offered from Y1 to Y6 year groups as an After School Club in the Music Room in groups of max 12 children.

Prerequisites
No experience required

What To Bring
Children practice barefoot (usually) on Gym Mats with their instructor. The class will follow school guidelines for equipment use.

Clothing
Their School PE Kit or leggings/tracksuit bottoms and Tshirt.

Location
Music Room -Portakabin – Collection point for parents: left of the Main Entrance at 4.15 pm

Term Dates:
AutumnTerm Dates: 11 classes on 17th Sept, 24th Sept, 1st Oct, 8th Oct, 15th Oct, 5th Nov, 12th Nov, 19th Nov, 26th Nov, 3rd Dec, 10th Dec (no class on 22nd and 29th Oct half-term)

3.15pm to 4.15pm on Thursdays
